Lovely as A Tree for a Masculine Card

Masculine Card, Lovely as A Tree, Wood Textures Paper, Stampin UP

Happy Saturday Guys!!! I'm hoping you will have a little crafting time this weekend and I decided this masculine card with the largest tree from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set would be what's on the menu.  I've seen a card lately where they used this stamp for the focal point of a card and thought I would put my own twist on it and make it a great masculine card for any occasion.  As you can see I grabbed the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper for the background, you know I love my Wood Textures Paper especially for masculine cards.

I used my Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the tree because I knew I would be coloring it in with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.  I grabbed my Crumb Cake Card Stock for the card base and sentiment, some Basic Black Card Stock for my first layer and to back my sentiment (which by the way came from the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set) and got busy.  I did use my the Largest Square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut my tree and the Largest Scalloped Square from the Layering Squares Framelits to back it with Basic Black Card Stock as well and popped it up with Stampin Dimensionals.  I'm betting you have the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set in your crafting area and if not, why, why, why I say!!!  It's Stampin' UPs oldest stamp set and that means it's an all time favorite for sure.  I hope you enjoyed today's card and it helped to get your creative juices flowing, I've listed all the measurements and supplies below to get you started.  Have a wonderful weekend and HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Beautiful Peacock with Brushos

Brusho, Card, Beautiful Peacock, Lovely Wishes

Have you experimented with your Brusho Crystal Colours yet?  I've got to tell you the more I play the more fun I have. I must admit I was a little intimidated in the beginning, but those fears are long gone.  I mean really, what's the worst that can happen, I chunk it in the trash, right.  When you just let those inhibitions go the results can be amazing as you can see in this card.  I grabbed my watercolor paper, added Prussian Blue and Yellow Brusho Colour Crystals, using my spritzer I hit it with a little water and watched the magic happen.  Because I didn't want to wait for it to dry on it's own, I grabbed my heat tool (it pushed the color around a bit, but I was loving it).  Once it was dry, I grabbed my Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set, my Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist Inks. and started stamping.

Brusho, Card, Beautiful Peacock, Lovely Wishes

To finish it off I grabbed my Aqua Painter and Lemon Lime Twist Ink and filled in the wing and added some grass under his feet (I didn't want him to be floating in air).  The sentiment YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND (how perfect is that for a peacock) came from the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set and was stamped in Pacific Point as well.  Making sure to use plenty of Fast Fuse to adhere the watercolor paper down, I added it to Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock and a Pacific Point card base.
For the cherries on top I added a few of our Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the tips of his tail feathers and my creation was complete.  So the moral of today's story is, live on the edge give your Brusho Crystal Colours a try, you may even surprise yourself ;)

First Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"

Hanging Garden and Hearth & Home Cards

Card, Hanging Garden, Hearth & Home, Stampin Blends

As a farm girl one of the must haves when we built our home was a wraparound porch.  I wanted to make absolutely sure I could enjoy all the beautiful scenery while sitting outside and I also knew I would hang planters in warm weather to enjoy the view from inside.  So, it's no surprise that when I saw the Hanging Garden Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalog it was included in my first round of purchases.  As I've said before I'm a long way from being a colorist, but I grabbed my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers and had such fun.  I used the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper thinking a lot of the older farmhouses have versions of wallpaper in their living rooms, and that was the effect I was going for.

As you will see in the video below I used the Hearth & Home Dies to cut my window and it really looks like you're sitting in your favorite comfy chair and gazing at natures beauty.  As you can see I used the same premise for both cards but chose a different way to display the greetings.  Both are so fun and cheery, but I must admit the HANG IN THERE is my favorite.

Heartfelt Blooms and Berry Burst what a Delicious Combination

Card, Heartfelt Blooms, Berry Burst, Garden Trellis Embossing Folder

I continue to be amazed at the lovely cards being created with the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set.  The card front above was created by teammate Holly.  She has chosen Berry Burst as the color theme and used the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder for the background layer.  She finished it off with the Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon and Clear Wink of Stella on the center flower for just a little added sparkle.  This card would be so easy to duplicate if you're looking for something on the go or you need a little Berry Burst Flair for someone.  Change the greeting and this card would be perfect for many occasions.

Card, Heartfelt Blooms, Berry Burst, Stampin UP

This card was created by my teammate France and it uses the exact same color combinations but is tamed down just a bit.  Striking in it's own way with elegance and simplicity.  If you've had the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set on your wish list to earn FREE from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, I would grab it before it's too late.  Remember Sale-A-Bration will end March 31st.

I want to thank Holly and France for sharing their beautiful creations and I hope they inspire you as much as they do me.  Happy Crafting!!!!
