Merry Mistletoe with Embossing Paste for Christmas in July

Using your Embossing Paste for Snow with the new Merry Mistletoe Stamp Set

Who doesn't love a little Christmas in July especially when you're playing with a new product like Embossing Paste.

Merry Mistletoe, Embossing Paste. Be Merry DSP, Double Stitched Ribbon, Card, Stampin Up, Christmas in July

I know there are other products out in the craft world to make the snow effect.  But I've been playing with the new Embossing Paste and wanted to give it a try.

I added a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the Paste and stirred it really well.  Moving quickly so it wouldn't dry I used a paint brush to daub it at the reindeers feet.  Speaking of the reindeer, how cute is he and don't overlook the Merry Christmas, both adorable (from the Merry Mistletoe set)

I used the Be Merry Christmas Designer Series Paper and my favorite ribbon (1/4" double-stitched in Cherry Cobbler), through in the Stitched Oval dies and set back and smiled :)

Supplies:

Stamp - Merry Mistletoe
Dies -  Stitched Shapes Framelits
Ink - Soft Suede, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock - Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
DSP - Be Merry
1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon

Measurements:

Card Base: Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Layer 1 - Cherry Cobbler 5 1/4" x 4"
Be Merry DSP 1 3/4" x 4" x 2 different patterns

Instructions:

Begin by placing your 2 pieces of Be Merry DSP on top of the Cherry Cobbler with Snail.
Adhere your Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon across the middle of the card where the 2 DSP sheets come together.
Stamp the deer in Soft Suede on Whisper White Cardstock (NOTE: MASK OFF THE FEET as the Embossing paste did absorb some of the ink after it dried)
Cut the deer using the Largest Oval Stitched die, ink the edges with a dauber and Garden Green Ink.
Stamp Merry Christmas in the lower left hand corner in Cherry Cobbler.
It's recommended to have a bowl of water ready at your work area to place your tools and silicone mat in to clean immediately after you finish with them.
Using your Silicone Mat and Palette Knifes, place a small amount of Embossing Paste on the mat.  Working quickly add a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Now use a brush to apply the paste at the base of the Reindeer to make it look like he's standing in snow. Let dry, then using Dimensionals pop it up on the right hand side of the card centered.
