Country Livin’ just screams Cowboy Boots

I love these cowboy boots and the red and black combination.  Todays technique shows you how to use craft foam to stamp on to get a wonderful dimensional look.

Country Livin', cowboy boots, fun foam

Stamp Set – Country Livin’, Best of Birds, Feather Together
Ink – Stazon Black, Memento Tuxedo Black
Marker – Basic Black
Cardstock – Basic Black, Real Red
Heat Tool

Card Base: Basic Black 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 1: Real Red 5 1/4″ x 4″
Layer 2: Basic Black scrap  3 1/2″ x 4″
Fun Foam 2″ x 2 1/2″
Scrap piece of paper

Begin with having your boots and your StazOn  Ink ready to go.
Begin heating your piece of fun foam with your heat tool.  I used a pair of tweezers so as to keep from burning my fingers.  Apply heat to the fun foam until it begins to curl a little.
Quickly after it has begun to curl, grab your boot stamp ink really well with Stazon and stamp on top of fun foam, apply a lot of pressure.  Then using a sponge dauber and Stazon ink the edges of the fun foam.
You can now take the scrap piece of Basic Black and tear the edges, tearing in one direction all the way around the square, remember jagged is good.
Using Snail mount the fun foam on the Basic Black torn piece.
Take the scrap piece of papers and make a gap down the center of the card by lining one up on the left and one on the right.  Now, using the Best of Birds pattern stamp and Memento Tuxedo Black ink randomly ink all the way down the gap, leaving yourself a random pattern.
Ink the edges of the Real Red layer of paper with Tuxedo Black.
Stamp greeting from Feather Together stamp set in lower left hand corner with Tuxedo Black ink.
Mount Real Red piece to the card base with Snail, then angle the boots mounted piece on top of the real red on the right hand side.

Isn’t this an awesome way to wish a Gentleman in your life Happy Birthday!!!
