If you love monochromatic then I’m betting these cards will speak to you. If you like clean and simple cards then we’ve just checked to boxes off your design list. I absolutely love the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper with all it’s black and white choices and that’s where these card creations started. I chose the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set for the Happy Birthday and the flowers I stamped around it. Adding a piece of Basic Black Card Stock that I had embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder behind the sentiment layer gave it just the right amount of definition.
As you will see in the video below, the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder is very deep. I’ve added a piece of our Velum Card Stock in the embossing folder and this helps to prevent my card stock from tearing. As you guys know I’m all about keeping it real and as you see in the video I used fast fuse to adhere the card stock down. I ran in to a bit of a problem as fast fuse is so strong and pulled the card stock apart at one of the lines. So in the future I will use Tombow Liquid Adhesive when using this embossing folder. I absolutely love the look it gives and I know the Tombow will solve the problem.
