It’s no secret I absolutely love the Heartland Stamp Set and without a doubt the barn is my favorite stamp in the set. Eva Grauer created the card below using this set along with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. She then finished it off with some water coloring and I love how it all came together.
I wanted to take her orginal design and put my own twist on it, as you will see in the quick video below. As you can see I used a lot of the same elements but added layers in different areas and simply left the barn black and white. I must admit I love them both. Even though they are similar they are different. Because Monday’s we do Clean & Simple Cards, I wanted to show you how you can tweak a card slightly to get those results. My version below is rustic but elegant and would be perfect for any occasion.
Card Base – Crumb Cake – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
First Layer – Basic Black – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Second Layer – Wood Textures Designer Series Paper – 5 1/4″ x 4″
Third Layer – Basic Black – 4″ x 3″
Fourth Layer – 3 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
Fifth Layer – Watercolor Paper – 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Strip – Basic Black – 1″ x 5 3/8″
