Because so many struggle with masculine cards, I created this Father’s Day Card for my main swap card for last weekends Stampin’UP! event in Fort Worth. The Nature Sings Stamp Set was carried over from the Holiday Catalog and it’s not to late for you to grab it. This set is so versatile and absolutely perfect for masculine cards. I used the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set for the inside and the Guys Greeting Stamp Set for the Sentiment. I wanted some texture as well so I used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder for the front layer and simply dragged ink across it to give it some pop. The Stitched Shape Framelits Square was used to cut out the caribou and I simply added coordinating cardstock layers allowing a 1/16th and 1/8″ border.
I chose Chocolate Chip Card Stock for the base of the above card and Crumb Cake for the top panel. I used Chocolate Chip Ink for both stamping my images and dragging over the textured layer. The image below is the inside of the card in all it’s splender (how can you not love Lovely As A Tree!!)
I reversed half of my cards using Crumb Cake Card Stock as the Base and Chocolate Chip Cardstock as the layering piece but stuck with the Chocolate Chip Ink as you can see below. And just in case you are wondering, yes these cards make me squeal 😉
