Sympathy cards are always difficult to make, as many times when we need them we’re not in a creative frame of mind. That’s why I always recommend having a few on hand, and then when you need them you can focus your energy on your special note inside. The card above was created by my Teammate Dawn and I absolutely love how the copper embossing makes it simple but elegant. The base of the card is Basic Black with a Berry Burst layer which showcases the stamped layer. Dawn has heat embossed the rose from the Graceful Gard Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Better Together Stamp Set with Copper Embossing Powder. She has also slightly stamped along the edges of the Whisper White Card Stock with her VersaMark Ink Pad and covered it with Copper Embossing Powder as well. I love how it frames the rose. She’s layered and popped up the sentiment with coordinating card stock and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to complete her card. Often times, simplicity is the answer when it comes to Sympathy cards and I hope Dawn has inspired you with hers today.
