Card, Leprechaun, St Patricks Day, Punch Art
EEEEEKKKKKK!!!! How stinkin cute is this little Leprechaun?  I had so much fun designing him and figuring out what punches and dies I could use to pull him all together.  First, let me say, when I showed him to my hubby, he says and I quote “Are you sure people won’t think he’s a Pilgrim?”  I said, are you kidding me, oh my no words, no words I say LOL.  But I digress, lets get to how I created him.  I’ve pictured the punches and the dies I used below, showing the actually die used at the top.  His hat was cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits 3 3/4″ x 2 3/8″ and 3″ x 1″ (these are outside dimensions for these dies).  His Face is cut using the 2nd from the largest Oval and his beard is cut using the largest Scalloped Oval.  His ears and his moustache are the large leave die in the Nature’s Roots Framelits and trimmed to the appropriate shape with my snips.

His eyes are cut using the 1″, 3/4″ and 1/2″ Circle Punches and his nose is the 3/4″ Circle Punch.  I used a 1/2″ strip of Basic Black for his hat band and freehand cut the Crushed Curry buckle.  I made sure to sponge the edges with their coordinating inks for the Shaded Spruce Hat, Balmy Blue Eyes and the Petal Pink Face, Ears and Nose.  I just free handed his mouth using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and I added a dash in both his eyes with the Stampin’ Chalk Marker.  Everything was glued together with Tombo Adhesive and I popped his nose up with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I added the Have A Lucky Day Sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and created my 4 leave clover with the heart from the Wood Words Stamp Set using Shaded Spruce Ink for all and the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker to freehand the stem.  Listed below are the measurement and details for the card base and layers.  I hope you enjoyed today’s card, I know I had a ton of fun creating it 🙂
