Spring Time Decor Because
Home Is Where the Herd Is

Daisy Delight, Daisy Punch, Farmhouse Decor, Spring

How beautiful are the yellow flowers of Spring Time.  I've got to say they remind me of individual pieces of sunshine and they warm me up to the deepest parts of my soul.  For my May Home is Where the Herd is decorating I chose different types of yellow flowers and used vibrant blues to make them pop even more.  I added vinyl to these blue bottles years back and love the single yellow flower in each one .  I wanted to add a pop of yellow around the neck of the bottles and accomplished this using the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon (this ribbon is retiring and will be gone before you know it).  The bottles are flanked by pictures of sunflower fields  to finish off my mantle decor.

I strayed from the typical front door wreath this month and chose to use a small child's umbrella.  I grabbed my Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Daisy Punch and the beautiful Coastal Cabana & Granny Apple Green Ribbon to tie around it for a bit of contrast.  I'm not going to act like getting it to hang just the way I wanted was easy, but you know this girl isn't gonna stop until it's just right :)

I opted to go minimal on my dining room table this month.  I absolutely love this large bird nest picture and it's quote by Elizabeth David of  "Every day holds the possibility of a Miracle".  I added large daisies I created years ago with my Silhouette into my two white porcelain pitchers and finished them off by tying the Coastal Cabana & Granny Apple Green Ribbon around the necks of them.  This ribbon matches the tiny little eggs I have in my birds nest that is my  final tribute to spring time.

Below are close up pictures to ensure you can see how it's the details that often make the largest impact when decorating.  I hope I've inspired you to get busy decorating this month and if you'd like to purchase any of the Stampin'Up! supplies I've shown today you can find the links below :)

  1. Love the beautiful spring touches, the bird's nest my favorite. Such a nice saying. You are certainly ready for spring.

  2. I love the yellow and blue. Every year I wait for my daffodils to pop up. I also love the idea of the kids umbrella instead of a wreath.
