June Farmhouse Decor Because
Home Is Where the Herd Is

Farmhouse Decor, Rustic, Spring, Stampin'Up!

June on the Scott Farm is a busy, busy time, with new calves being born, mowing to be done and many other things.  In my office there's so much happening with the New Catalog launching and all the changes of out with the old and in with the new.   With all that being said, I did make time to do just a little bit of decorating for June.  You may be thinking, I've seen some of that before.  Well, yes you are right.  The white pitchers made their way from the Dining Table to the Mantle and I added stamped strips of Crushed Curry Cardstock to them.  If you don't have tons of different items to decorate with, just repurpose what you have.  If you'll notice I also used one of the sunflower pictures from last months decor.  The difference is I wanted to raise it up on a couple of books.

Only problem was I didn't have books of the right size.  No problem, I grabbed a blank Full Wide and Standard Wide Stamp Cases, my Daisy Delight Stamp Set, Crushed Curry and Whisper White Cardstock and Crushed Curry, Memento Black and Craft White Inks and made my own.  I also had my sunshine wooden sign but wanted to tie it in as well.  I did this with strips of Crushed Curry Cardstock and stamped the wood pattern from the Gallery Grunge Stamp set on the strips with Crushed Curry Ink.  My finishing touch was the Flax Whisper White Ribbon, that I ripped down and made narrow strips and a bow with.  All those little subtle elements really pulls it all together and took no time at all to create.

I created my Spring Time rag wreath years ago and it's hanging proudly on the front door.  Trust me if you take the time to create one of these puppies you'll want to be sure and display it often :)

My final decorating was the Dining Table and out came my vegetable and fruit dishes.  EEEEEKKKK I love them and scored the entire set of 6 place settings at a thrift store for $25 a few years back.  This is the time of year that the gardens are a plenty in farm country and I'm showcasing that here.  My one new added touch was adding our Burlap Ribbon around the handle of my Garden Box and this completed my rustic decor.
