3D Magnolia Clean & Simple Card

Hi Guys,

Today’s cards are all about Magnolias.  I wanted to created a quick card that could be used for any occasion and I accomplished this by using the ever so popular Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder along with sentiments from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Sets.  I couldn’t resist using the Rococo Rose and Purple Posy Cardstock in both creations along with their coordinating Scalloped Linen Ribbon.

You’ll see my tip in the video below on how to adhere the Scalloped Linen Ribbon without getting that bulky look, this truly does make a huge difference.  As you can see in my original design, I chose the beautiful In Color Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper and the Hello sentiment  I wanted to ensure everything popped and accomplished this with some sponging and cutting the sentiment and sentiment background layer using the Timeless Label Punch.

I changed up the colors for my video tutorial below and went with the Purple Posey Cardstock and the Thanks Sentiment which is also from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.  As you can see I chose to sponge both cards to make the Embossed Magnolia really pop off the cardstock.  This step is strictly optional and you can skip it, if you’d like.

Ensuring you can see all the depth from the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder, I wanted to give you several angles of this card to view.  I really do love it and it’s so, so simple to create stunning cards, quickly with it.

I chose to stamp the small Magnolia Flower on the inside straight onto the Crumb Cake Card Base.  I feel that Crumb Cake is light enough that another layer to write on is not necessary.  However, if this doesn’t fit your fancy, you could always add a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock to the inside at 5 1/4″ x 4″ as well.
