I kept looking at the mushrooms in the Walk In The Woods Stamp Set and they were just screaming rustic card for me. Because I needed to create a lot of them for a team swap, I wanted to keep the design simple but at the same time I wanted a wow factor.
I love how the focal point of the card with the mushrooms stamped on it looks like I have crumpled up the Crumb Cake Cardstock. When I actually just stamped my image, flipped it upside down and used my Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder on it. I then grabbed my Soft Suede Ink and Sponge and inked the edges really heavy for that worn out look.
I also wanted textured on the Soft Suede layer and accomplished that with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. You can see how this simple added step takes this card to a completely different level. I stamped my sentiment on Crumb Cake and then used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for both it and the background Early Espresso Layer as well. I hope you’ve added this punch to your stash as it’s got endless possibilities and combinations.
My final touch was huffing on my mushroom stamp to reactivate the ink and stamped it on my inside layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock. If you need a design that can be used for all types of occasions including masculine cards, I think this one is a winner for sure.
